Poultry Judging

 

  • CDE check-in begins at 12:30 PM
  • Event begins at 1:00 PM
  • Once registered, poultry participants will sit on the bleachers on the right side of the pavilion closest to the street.
  • Each team will be comprised of four members. All four scores will be used to determine the total team score. Alternates are allowed for this event.
  • Official dress is not required for the regional or state event.
  • Any participant in possession of an electronic device in the event area is subject to disqualification. (watches, cell phones, etc.)
  • No talking is allowed.
  • Participants must bring two No. 2 pencils, a clear, transparent clipboard, and a livestock evaluation scantron (purchased through judgingcard.com
  • Scantron cards will be available for purchase at event registration. You can either pay for them on 11/6 or be invoiced by Jeremy Fair. The cards will be $1 each. If you have already purchased cards, feel free to bring them.   
  • Participants will be will be provided clean sheets of paper for recording decisions made during the event. No other materials will be permitted. Participants attempting to use unauthorized materials will be disqualified.   
  • No written exam or oral reasons

9 Judging Classes (Carcass / Part Grading, Broilers Class, Hens Class, RTC Class, Egg Interior Quality Grading, Egg Exterior Quality Grading and Written Factors, Identification of Carcass Parts, Boneless Further Processed Poultry Meat Products, Bone-In Further Processed Poultry Meat Products)
